## About the Treatment
Clitoral hood reduction is surgery that reduces excess skin on the clitoral hood (prepuce). This excess can cause discomfort with clothing, difficulty with hygiene, secretion buildup and aesthetic concerns, and is often associated with enlargement of the labia minora — which is why clitoral hood reduction is frequently performed together with labiaplasty. The procedure is performed under local anesthesia, may use CO₂ laser for greater precision, and typically has a fast recovery. The indication is made after a gynecological evaluation that considers each woman's anatomy, concerns and expectations.
