## About the Treatment

The Intrauterine Device (IUD) is a highly effective, long-acting contraceptive option, with success rates above 99%. It is a reversible, low-maintenance method recommended for women who want to safely and confidently prevent conception. At Clínica Femi Saúde, we offer different types of IUD: the Copper IUD (effective for up to 10 years, hormone-free), the Copper with Silver IUD (improved efficacy, up to 5 years), the Mirena IUD (hormonal with levonorgestrel, effective for 5–8 years, reduces menstrual flow and cramps) and the Kyleena IUD (hormonal with a lower dose, effective for 5 years). Choosing the most suitable IUD depends on each woman's preferences and needs, determined during an evaluation consultation. Insertion can be performed with or without anesthesia.
