## About the Treatment

Intralesional injection involves applying a small amount of corticosteroid directly into the lesion with a fine needle to locally reduce inflammation and excess tissue. It is a well-established option for treating keloids and hypertrophic scars, alopecia areata, inflamed acne cysts, prurigo nodules, lichen simplex and resistant psoriasis plaques.
