## About the Treatment

C-section, episiotomy and childbirth-tear scars, as well as surgical and acne scars, can become raised, hardened, retracted, or discolored compared to surrounding skin, and sometimes cause discomfort or pain. Fractional CO₂ laser stimulates collagen remodeling and skin renewal, which may improve the texture, thickness and appearance of scars, and can also ease the feeling of tightness. Treatment is done in the office, usually over a few sessions at set intervals, and the protocol is planned after assessing each scar. Results vary from person to person.
