Humanized Birth

About the Treatment

Humanized birth places the woman at the center of decisions about her own delivery, with evidence-based care and respect for her timing and her choices. It may be a vaginal birth or a cesarean, when medically indicated or when that is the mother's option after an informed conversation. The Femi Saúde team values the presence of a companion, presents the pain-relief options, from free movement and warm showers to epidural analgesia, and prioritizes skin-to-skin contact right after birth and breastfeeding support in the first hour. Care is provided by the same team that followed the prenatal period, in partnership with maternity hospitals in Curitiba, and continues after birth with attention to the mother's recovery and the newborn's care.
