Dr. Ademir de Oliveira is a physician with more than 20 years of professional experience and a focus on integrative medicine. He is trained in general surgery and acupuncture. His practice is guided by an integrative view of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), which seeks the body's energetic balance based on the five elements of nature — water, wood, fire, earth and metal — and the organs related to them. In TCM, health depends on this balance (yin and yang), while an excess, deficiency or stagnation of energy contributes to illness. He therefore seeks to treat diseases at their root, rather than only relieving symptoms, integrating different knowledge and therapeutic techniques for the benefit of each patient.
