About the Treatment
Microneedling uses a pen with sterile microneedles that create thousands of controlled micro-punctures in the skin, triggering the natural repair process and the production of collagen and elastin. It is indicated for acne scars, enlarged pores, irregular texture, fine lines, spots and stretch marks, and to improve skin firmness. The micro-punctures also allow for drug delivery — the application of active ingredients, such as vitamins and growth factors, which penetrate the skin better during the procedure. The session is performed with topical anesthetic, lasts about 30 to 45 minutes and leaves the skin reddened for one to three days. In general, three to six sessions are indicated, four weeks apart, and the protocol is defined according to the goal and skin type.
